The crowd didn’t realize they were about to see history when Loren, a vocalist, took the stage on America’s Got Talent.
revealed her secret.
Not only did Loren Allred sing, but she dazzled when she hit the stage on America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League. The audience was stunned when the Pittsburgh native unleashed her amazing performance of “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman.
But what’s the actual shocker? Loren disclosed that the original song, which is among the most popular songs ever, was sung by her powerful voice.
Although Loren’s voice was heard over speakers all across the world for years, no one knew what her face looked like. Only after she plucked up the bravery to compete on Britain’s Got Talent did the world get to see the woman behind the platinum-selling song. Her courageous choice paid off, as she was immediately sent to the semi-finals after receiving a standing ovation and Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer.
“You performed one of the greatest songs ever,” said Simon Cowell. Why did the song not make a huge deal for you? In response, Allred said, “I felt more at ease singing in the background. However, it seems to have been written just for me, and I’m quite eager to give the song a face. So that’s what I’m here for.
This song turned became an anthem.
The road to fame hasn’t been a straight one for Loren. She participated in America’s Got Talent Season 3 in 2012, however she was lost very quickly. She later acknowledged that, in order to establish a strong connection between performers and viewers, she hadn’t told enough of her personal narrative. But destiny had other ideas.
Her voice was selected in 2017 to add life to the song “Never Enough” in The Greatest Showman, which was originally intended to be sung by actress Rebecca Ferguson. Even Rebecca was aware that Loren’s performance was unparalleled, and the song turned into a powerful and passionate anthem.
Even music legends were drawn to Loren’s skill. When Michael Bublé realized that Loren’s amazing vocals in The Greatest Showman were actually Rebecca’s, he found her. He asked her to perform a duet on his album Love’s “Help Me Make It Through The Night.” She performed with one of the finest tenors of our time, Andrea Bocelli, on a tour across the United States in 2021, displaying her versatility as an artist.
Loren is a songwriter in addition to a singer. With songs like “This Summer” that are an anthem for anyone who has ever felt a little lost, her debut album, Late Bloomer, which was released in 2021, is a poignant compilation that depicts her personal experience.
