Some individuals may be concerned about having a dog near a young, defenseless infant, particularly if the dog breed has a reputation for being “aggressive.”
Given their reputation for being erratic and occasionally aggressive, pit bull dogs are most likely at the top of this group.
However, a California mother credits her beloved pit bull with saving her and her child’s life.
Sasha, the beloved dog, and daughter Masailah were born just a few days apart, according to mom Latana Chai. They spend every moment together, including sharing a bed and even taking a bath.
But when a fire started in their neighbor’s house, their relationship was about to get even closer.
One Saturday night at around midnight, Latana observed that Sasha was acting quite oddly.
“I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ after hearing a loud bang.” Sasha kept jumping at the door and I could hear her crying. According to Kare 11, Latana remarked, “She runs in and starts barking as soon as I got to the door.”
The pit bull was discovered in the infant’s bedroom.
She hurried to Masailah’s room as soon as she opened the door to let Sasha in. Then she saw that there was a fire spreading from their neighbor’s house to theirs, and black smoke was flowing from the ceiling.
Sasha was taking Masailah by the diaper and dragging her to safety when Mom Latana hurried to her baby’s room.
The family attributes their safety to Sasha’s early warning barks.

Regretfully, a lot of people still think that pit bulls are only vicious combat dogs.
