I haven’t read about a braver man in a long time than Logan Gifford. His choice to tell his heartbreaking, unthinkable narrative is not only necessary but also admirable.
We may all learn something important from his words, and they might give people in similar circumstances the courage to speak up as well.
At last, I informed the police.
Logan has already experienced at the age of 26 things that no human being should ever have to go through. Even though he has experienced tragedy, pain, and betrayal throughout his life, he chooses to speak out rather than keep the past hidden.
Logan could have remained silent, but he won’t be quieted.
Over a number of years, Logan’s own mother, Doreene Gifford, tragically sexually assaulted him. According to him, it all took place between the ages of 10 and 16.
After he informed the police about his mother’s true nature, Logan’s ordeal came to an end. He testified in 2015 against his own mother, who received a prison sentence of 8–20 years.
Logan has stayed steadfast in his truth, disclosing painful information of his early years, while Doreene has repeatedly maintained her innocence.
The younger brother died.
He claims, for instance, that his mother sexually attacked him while the pornographic video was playing in the bedroom she shared with his father. Additionally, he shared details of his difficult childhood, including the regular involvement of child protective services. Sadly, Liam, his younger brother, drowned in a pool when he was three years old.
After then, Gifford’s mother’s terrible actions left him to assist in raising his younger siblings. But this terrible case is taking an unexpected turn. At this point, Logan thinks his brother, who is fifteen, may be his son.
According to Gifford, his brother might have been conceived in late 2008, during yet another period of maltreatment. Logan has not revealed the young child’s identity, but he has cognitive difficulties. Children of incest are more likely to have impairments and genetic abnormalities.
Las Vegas resident Logan Gifford was born in 1998. He was about to turn 11 when his brother was born in 2009. He was 17 when a judge ordered his mother to serve an 8-to-20-year prison sentence and register as a sex offender.https://t.co/jjUjo5PxEQ

“Observe the mess I’ve left behind. Logan told the Las Vegas Review Journal in an emotional interview, “I didn’t ask for any of this.”
Logan is now asking a judge to order a paternity test. According to Timothy Treffinger, his lawyer, Gifford’s mother has rejected the idea that he is the father and has indicated that she would be open to having a paternity test conducted.
According to Logan Gifford, “I feel that as though it is my obligation or my duty to (him) to do this and find out who his biological father really is.” He feels obligated to find out the truth about his younger brother’s biological father.
His therapist first proposed the idea, bringing up the possibility that Logan was the father. According to Gifford, “I was 17 at the time.” I was caught off guard by that.
Logan was granted temporary guardianship of his younger brother, who now receives a disability check and lives with Logan. The teenager moved in with Logan in January after previously living with Logan’s father, Theodore.
If Logan is found to be the father, the guardianship case will change to a custody lawsuit. However, it will still be a guardianship issue if he isn’t. It is challenging to establish a certain paternity determination because both brothers share Theodore’s DNA.
As a survivor, Logan described how difficult this circumstance is for him, adding, “As a male survivor, it is very visceral to sit here and think that my brother may be the product of my sexual assault.” However, he is now present. You can’t go back and change anything. And he is entitled to a nice, childlike quality of life.
In January, Doreene Gifford, their mother, was arrested once more for breaking a parole term by contacting a victim after being released on parole in July of last year. She is being imprisoned at the Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center and will be subject to a parole violation hearing in April.
