A bill recently filed by Republican Representative Brandon Gill of Texas would replace Benjamin Franklin on the $100 bill with President Donald Trump.
The Golden Age Act of 2025, the name of Gill’s bill, alludes to Trump’s long-standing claim that his administration will contribute to the emergence of the next “Golden Age of America.”
Trump’s face would be on every $100 bill if this bill is approved.
Republican Representative Troy Nehls of Texas is also a co-sponsor of the bill.
In a statement, Gill, a first-time representative, explained why he is advocating for the passage of this law.
Gill stated, “President Trump has done more than anyone else to usher America into the golden age.”
“A small way to honor all he will accomplish over the next four years is to have him on the $100 bill.”
Gill posted a picture of Trump’s official second-term portrait on a $100 bill on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
He wrote, “Let’s make history.” He wrote, “Let’s make history.”

After December 31, 2028, Trump’s face would have to appear on all $100 bills.
Since there are currently regulations in place to prevent this from happening, there is obviously very little likelihood that this bill will be passed.

Currently, it is illegal to depict living individuals on any kind of U.S. cash.
Trump’s image is therefore prohibited from appearing on any currency or banknotes.
Gill and Nehls, as well as other Republicans in Congress, have not appeared to be deterred by this, though.
Gill also discussed his motivations for advocating for Trump’s image to appear on the $100 bill.
Gill remarked, “President Trump could be spending time with his family and playing golf in his golden years.”
He took a bullet for this country instead, and he is now working extra hard to secure our border, improve our trade relations with the rest of the world, restore America’s energy independence, and prioritize America by cutting back on pointless foreign aid.
After all, just a few days prior to Gill’s revelation, South Carolina Republican Representative Joe Wilson announced that he was drafting a law that would require Trump to appear on a new $250 bill.
“Happy to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Graving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump,” Wilson wrote in a post on X.
I’m happy to say that I’m writing legislation to order the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to create a $250 bill with Donald J. Trump on it. In addition, he shared a model of the banknote that resembled Gill’s $100 post.
Wilson claims that in recognition of everything that Trump has done for the American economy, he would like to design a $250 bill featuring his image.
In a shocking interview with Joe Rogan, Woody Harrelson praises RFK and criticizes Fauci.
Naturally, the GOP member also used the opportunity to disparage former President Joe Biden while expressing this admiration.
The economy has been ruined by Bidenflation, making it necessary for American families to carry more cash.
For the most valuable president, the most valuable bill Wilson penned.
In 1929, the United States last updated the names on a banknote.
The $20 bill once featured former President Grover Cleveland.
However, Andrew Jackson, a past president, replaced him on the banknote in 1929.
Since 1914, when the Federal Reserve first produced the $100 banknote, Benjamin Franklin, one of the country’s founding fathers, has been depicted on the note.
To date, U.S. banknotes have featured a number of presidents.
For instance, the $1 bill features George Washington, the $2 banknote features Thomas Jefferson, and the $5 money features Abraham Lincoln.
After 1929, Jackson made an appearance on the $20 dollar, and the $50 notes features Ulysses S. Grant.
The idea of altering U.S. currency and banknotes has always been discussed, but it is frequently met with harsh criticism.
Many Americans consider their currency to be a longstanding American heritage, thus they are not searching for their coins and dollars to convert.
The notion of replacing Andrew Jackson with Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill was first put out by President Barack Obama back in 2016.
Being an escaped slave who assisted numerous other enslaved people in escaping via the Underground Railroad is what made Tubman most famous.
But this concept didn’t catch on.
Trump placed this plan on hold when he took office in 2016 following Obama.
Associated After being booed during the Super Bowl for placing Trump on Mount Rushmore, Taylor Swift loses hundreds of thousands of fans.
Republican lawmakers have previously drafted some intriguing legislation that seems to be intended to tremendously impress Trump.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, drafted a bill in late January that would place Trump on Mount Rushmore.
This bill, if approved, would permit Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt to have their likenesses engraved on Mount Rushmore next to Trump’s.
Trump’s “remarkable accomplishments for our country and the success he will continue to deliver deserve the highest recognition and honor on this iconic national monument,” Luna stated on X, citing her motivation for drafting the measure.

Congress has attempted to add another president to the national landmark before, despite the fact that this measure to place Trump on Mount Rushmore may sound crazy to some.
Congress actually contemplated putting President Ronald Reagan on Mount Rushmore back in 1999. But in the end, this notion was disregarded.
Republicans Unite to Place Trump on the $100 Note
Conservatives have praised the concept of featuring the president on the $100 bill, while a number of liberals have criticized it.
Some members of the Republican Congress have even expressed their desire for this law to pass.

Naturally, there is very little chance that this law will pass.
Since many people still want to see Benjamin Franklin on their $100 bills, many independents and even conservatives are not happy with the notion, even though many leftists despise it.
Tradition is very important to these Americans, and even some Trump supporters oppose changing this enduring American law.
Permitting Trump’s Third Term Campaign
Many Republicans in Congress have been introducing legislation to further solidify Trump’s legacy ever since he returned to the White House for a second term, following a surprising victory over former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Examples of this include legislation that would add Trump on Mount Rushmore and several more proposals.
But as opponents have noted that there are actual issues facing the nation that they believe Congress should be addressing instead, these proposals have swiftly become quite contentious.
Naturally, the measure that was created to provide Trump the opportunity to run for a third term is far more contentious than these proposals.
This plan, which was first put up in January, would enable Trump to run for president a third time.
The law would give this chance to any president, but only to those who did not hold office for two terms in a row.
The parents persisted despite the related hospital’s refusal to remove their baby daughter’s facial birthmark.
As a result, past presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama would not be eligible to run again.
Theoretically, former President Joe Biden would have three more chances to hold the White House since he was only elected to one term.
It is obvious that this concept was created specifically with Trump in mind.
The only two presidents to have held nonconsecutive terms are Trump and former President Grover Cleveland.
When this measure was introduced, it immediately sparked a lot of online criticism from both liberals and constitutionalists.
It’s important to note that there is little chance that this idea would ever be approved because it would require the support of two-thirds of both the House and the Senate.
Furthermore, before the idea could ever be incorporated into the U.S. Constitution, it would need to be ratified by at least 38 states.
Additional Fascinating Trump Bills
Currently, some Republican members of Congress are pushing other fairly intriguing laws related to Trump.
Republican Representative Claudia Tenney of New York presented a bill earlier this year that would declare June 14, Trump’s birthday, a government holiday.
This accolade would “recognize him as the founder of America’s Golden Age,” Tenney said.
Of course, this concept has also caused problems for a lot of people.
Liberals have referred to it as insane.
The president will be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, according to Republican Representative Darrell Issa of California.
Issa didn’t give a clear explanation for his Trump nomination.
But the president has long aspired to receive this esteemed honor.
Many have therefore asserted that Trump will be pleased to learn about Issa’s proposal.
It’s obvious that a large number of Republican lawmakers are working to enact legislation that benefits Trump.
Liberals and independents have strongly criticized these actions, but it doesn’t seem like any of them have persuaded these lawmakers to stop putting these legislation forward.
