The fact that Volodymr Zelenskyy chose to see King Charles III without a suit has caused a great deal of discussion on the internet, but it is not a coincidence.
After attending a summit of European leaders on resolving the war in Ukraine on Sunday, March 2, Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, met with the father of the Royal Family at Sandringham.
“I’m very grateful for this meeting and for how His Majesty helps Ukraine and supports us,” the political leader told reporters after being “warmly received” and describing his “very good meeting” with King Charles. We are grateful to the Royal Family for their assistance, and he has met our fighters who are receiving training in the UK.”
Charles seemed unconcerned with Zelenskyy’s decision to forego a suit for the event, something he has often justified, but it’s obvious that others felt strongly about it, as one social media user commented, “Still no suit?”
A second person criticized him for still being in his pajamas, while a third person sarcastically said, “I see you dressed for the occasion to meet the king of England.”
A furious fourth said, “But still no suit.”
One person exclaimed, “… and you forgot your suit again!” while another asked, “You can’t even get dressed up to meet the King??”
Zelenskyy has, however, previously given an explanation for his clothing choices when he meets with other world leaders.
“Why don’t you wear a suit?” Brian Glenn, the main White House journalist for the right-wing website Real America’s Voice, questioned Zelenskyy last week. Despite holding the highest position in our nation’s office, you refuse to wear a suit.
“Do you own a suit?” Glenn poked fun.
After initially seeming perplexed by the topic, Zelenskyy said he would “wear a costume after this war will finish,” alluding to the fact that he has been wearing cargo pants and an army jacket ever since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
“I’m not sure, but it might be something better or similar to yours. We’ll see. “Perhaps something less expensive,” he informed the reporter.
The word “kostium,” which is pronounced “costume,” means “suit” in Ukrainian.
He was ‘playing with World World III’, as U.S. President Donald Trump dramatically warned Zelenskyy during their White House meeting.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine and the ensuing conflict were discussed by the world leaders in the Oval Office.
Trump and Zelenskyy got into a heated argument, with Vice President JD Vance joining him. Trump accused Zelenskyy of being “disrespectful.”
“You’re playing with World War Three as millions of people watch you do it. The Republican, the first convicted felon to serve as president of the United States, said Zelenskyy, “You’re gambling with World War Three.”
Zelenskyy was also criticized by Trump and Vance for not being “thankful” for the alleged military assistance the US provided to Ukraine.
“In this entire meeting, have you said thank you?” Vance insisted.
“You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October, offer some words of appreciation for the United States of America and the president who’s trying to save your country.”
“Deaths are occurring… Trump went on, “You’re running low on soldiers.”
After Zelenskyy met with Trump, Vance accused him of being on a “publicity tour.”
In an effort to put a halt to Russia’s invasion, the US president also advised the Ukrainian that he must quickly reach an agreement with the US.
“Your people are very brave, but you’re either going to make a deal or we’re out, and if we’re out, you’ll fight it out,” Trump said.
In keeping with its new strategy for media coverage, the White House only invited a small group of journalists to attend the press conference in the Oval Office. Two of the most reputable news organizations in the world, Reuters and AP, were prohibited from entering.
