Following yet another unsettling forecast that compared one character to Elon Musk, fans have declared that The Simpsons is “always right.”
The Simpsons has a long history of accurately predicting a number of historical occurrences, such as the global epidemic and Donald Trump’s election to the presidency. The program has ‘done it again’, according to viewers, this time with regard to tech giant Elon Musk.
The tech CEO’s recent chainsaw-wielding antics have drawn comparisons from viewers to the cartoon classic’s Hank Scorpio, who plays a supervillain.
During the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday, February 19, the tech mogul was spotted circling the stage with a chainsaw while discussing various political topics. He started out by asserting that Joe Biden has “failed” to rescue astronauts who are now stranded in space.
The chainsaw he is currently bringing to the federal government in his new position as head of the Department of Government Efficiency appears to have been the inspiration for the electric tool.
The episode ‘You Only Move Twice’, in which the Simpson family decides to move to a picturesque village where Homer has secured a new job, features Musk, the villainous Simpsons character that has been likened to Musk.
However, he later learns that the villain in question, Scorpio, his new master, is determined to conquer the globe.
One of the most notable parallels between the two is that the character is seen brandishing a flamethrower in the last scenes.
According to reports, Musk generated about $10 million from the development of flamethrowers when he began selling them in 2018.
However, Musk has already drawn a comparison between him and the malevolent antagonist, so it’s not only show viewers who have done so.
“Just because he has a flamethrower and I have a flamethrower doesn’t mean … um … ok fine I’m Hank Scorpio,” he wrote in a 2019 post on X.
Since Musk has now been given a position in the government by President Trump and is becoming more and more allied with the US, viewers swiftly caught up with the show’s most recent prediction.
One said: “Elon Musk takes over Springfield in a Simpsons episode. and carries out his current actions. The Simpsons are correct every time.
“Elon Musk is Hank Scorpio,” another person remarked. As one third wrote: “Elon Musk has now reached the Hank Scorpio stage of being a billionaire,” we must confront this truth.
“Elon Musk talks a big game about high minded sci-fi, but so far the only piece of fiction he’s actually managed to bring to life is The Simpsons,” another was added.
In recent years, the billionaire has been in the news for his kids. He was criticized online for taking three of them to a political gathering in India.
On February 13, the Tesla entrepreneur met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanied by his three-year-old siblings Azure and Strider, as well as his four-year-old son X Æ A-12.
Before quickly removing the tweets, his ex-partner Grimes also publicly urged him to quit “ignoring their child’s medical crisis.”
