Jason Momoa has undergone a significant lifestyle change since his highly tumultuous divorce from Lisa Bonet. Although he has enough money to live in luxury, he has chosen to live in a modest and unorthodox way.
Momoa, 44, and Bonet, 56, were once a popular Hollywood couple who were renowned for keeping the details of their romance private. Fans were eager to find out more about their romance, thus this caught their attention.
Interestingly, Momoa acknowledged that he first saw Bonet on television when she portrayed Denise Huxtable in the sitcom The Cosby Show. The future star reportedly told his mother, “Mommy, I want that one,” after falling in love.
When their paths finally collided in 2005 at a jazz bar through mutual connections, it was love at first sight for Momoa. James Corden described the episode in vivid detail on The Late Late Show: “I literally turned around, and I see her, and she goes, ya know, ‘I’m Lisa.’” “Ahhh!” I said, turning to look at my friend. My insides were exploding like fireworks, man.
This occasion signaled the start of their journey together, which ultimately led to their marriage in 2017 and the establishment of a family, including a son born in 2008 and a daughter born in 2007.
Five years later, in January 2022, the seemingly perfect couple announced their split after 16 years of dating, and everything fell apart. In January 2024, two years after their split, Bonet filed for divorce. People claims that by July of this year, they will be legally single.
Bonet and Momoa have discussed how their tastes differ, with Bonet favoring comfortable pursuits like writing, cooking, and reading, while Momoa leans more toward travel and adventure. They clarified that they still have a lot of affection for one another and are dedicated to their kids even if they broke up.

After splitting from Bonet, the Game of Thrones star decided to live in a van instead of the house he previously lived with his ex-wife.
This abrupt change in lifestyle has surprised many, but Momoa embraces the simplicity and environmental friendliness of his new home by sharing photographs of his “van life” on social media.
Following the divorce, Momoa was occasionally seen residing in his camper van, which was parked near the home he once shared with Bonet and their children. This $750,000 Ford RV became a significant part of his life and was often utilized as a temporary apartment while he was away from home filming, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Momoa’s inclination to lead a nomadic existence is not new. In reality, he embraced the nomadic mentality when he and a companion embarked on an exciting journey across Ireland prior to his popularity.
More recently, he posted a photo of his van life on Instagram, emphasizing the environmentally friendly elements of his house, like plastic-free goods. Momoa further shown his inventiveness by adding a shower with a hanging shower head on the entrance and conveniently parking the van near a superstore.
