When he made thousands of classified documents about President John F. Kennedy’s 1963 killing public, Donald Trump caused a stir. Trump’s document dump has left many people still looking for the truth that the president had previously promised, despite the fact that many were expecting dramatic disclosures.
The truth regarding what actually transpired on November 22, 1963, the day that 46-year-old John F. Kennedy (JFK) was slain, has been sought after for decades.
80,000 documents pertaining to the passing of the 35th President of the United States were declassified by the Trump administration on March 18. The 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, which had originally set a 2017 deadline for complete disclosure, was followed by this action.
“We have an enormous quantity of paper. You read a great deal. “I don’t think we’re going to redact anything,” Trump, 78, hinted on March 17 at the Kennedy Center. They have spent decades waiting for that. I also promised to release them during the campaign, and I keep my word, so you will get the JFK files tomorrow.
Trump, who was 17 at the time of Kennedy’s murder, had already made thousands of documents public in 2018, albeit some of them had been redacted for reasons of national security. Similar steps were taken by President Biden, who in 2022 unveiled 13,000 additional records.
“A new era of utmost transparency is being ushered in by President Trump. The New York Post reported that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard stated, “As per his directive, previously redacted JFK Assassination Files are being made public with no redactions.” Promises are honored after they are made.
A few files are still locked.
There was a lot of excitement about Trump’s decision to make these documents public, and his supporters interpreted it as part of his administration’s dedication to open government. However, some of the files remain closed.
However, in spite of these lofty claims, the papers did not provide closure for those anticipating shocking disclosures; the truth was much less dramatic. The Warren Commission had already determined in 1964 that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone when he fired a powerful rifle from the sixth story of the Texas School Book Depository, where the 24-year-old former marine had just begun working, and the majority of the records appeared to confirm this conclusion.
According to the account, JFK’s car was passing through Dealey Plaza in Dallas at 12.30 pm when three shots were fired.
The second bullet, which is known as the “magic bullet theory,” struck the president in the back, passed through his throat, and then wounded Texas Governor John Connally, breaking his wrist and landing in his thigh. The first bullet failed to reach its objective.
Kennedy was fatally struck in the head by the third bullet, which was fired 8.6 seconds after the first.
Oswald was captured after he allegedly ran away and shot another police officer in Dallas that same day. However, two days later, before he could face trial, he was shot dead by 53-year-old nightclub owner Jack Ruby.
In search of a conspiracy
The Kennedy assassination has always been a mystery that has persisted throughout generations.
Many Americans think that a conspiracy, not a single shooter, killed Kennedy. Theories have varied from Cuban exiles seeking retribution to mob participation. The fact that the CIA ordered the shooting to keep the president from learning the truth about aliens is among the most strange.

Apart from a few minor revelations, the recently made public records provided no solid evidence to support or refute the numerous beliefs that have persisted for decades.
Conspiracy theorists find that the ongoing secrecy just encourages further conjecture, and many were eager to express their views online.
“The CIA assassinated the incumbent President JFK and they were never held accountable for it,” writes one netizen. Another user is adamant that JFK was killed by the CIA.
The JFK files were kept secret for years because they show that the US government was aware of UAPs and UFOs, according to a third internet fan who jumps on the alien theory.
“You were played.”
Others voiced their dissatisfaction with the information that is still concealed and kept secret due to alleged national security concerns.
One user writes, “It appears that the only information found in the JFK Files confirms what we already knew from the Warren commission.”
A second person stated, “I was informed on multiple occasions that these would be unredacted.”
According to a third user, “You got played… again? How many times more?
Other online community members noted that the release is identical to what former President Joe Biden revealed in 2023.
“Lol, Trump made public the same JFK documents that Biden did in 2023. One person tweets, “Fall for It Again Award,” with a comparison of the two releases’ images, with Trump’s version with the word “secret” crossed out.
Biden made these public without redaction. One shares, “Biden 1 Trump 0,” while another adds, “It’s literally the same files that Biden released.”
The JFK assassination is still one of America’s biggest unanswered mysteries after all these years. In the end, Trump’s document dump didn’t get us any closer to the truth, even though it revealed some new information.
