Marriage is an important occasion in our lives in which we commit to our partner for all eternity. However, a variety of things can sour this happiness, with infidelity being a prevalent problem that can develop at any stage of a relationship.
A couple who had been together for many years planned to celebrate their wedding, which was intended to be the bride’s happiest day. Unfortunately, the night before the wedding, she received an unexpected text message that would change her life forever.
Casey, a bridesmaid for an anonymous bride, became suspicious of her fiancé, Alex, after receiving many messages from an unknown number while they were drinking.
The person included screenshots and asked her, “Would you marry him?”
The messages formed an unfavorable image of Alex. He appeared to be connected with another woman before his wedding.
This weekend, you and I have a plan. It is going to be exciting. Make sure to bring your finest abilities.
“Your body is f**king incredible. And do you know how to use it? Another person added, “I wish my girlfriend had half your skills.”
A third text said, “I miss you so much. I can’t stop thinking about L, S, and F-ing You. I’ve never been in this kind of relationship before.
“I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey stated. “My girls threatened him with every manner of violence. They suggested I call him immediately and cancel the wedding.”
She wrote, “But I adored Alex. I wanted to marry Alex tomorrow. I was too shocked and devastated to be angry. I didn’t call him.
“We finally tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink, and when dawn arrived, I woke the girls and told them my decision: I was going to go forward with the wedding as planned, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.
Instead of delivering her vows, she chose to take retribution by reading the text messages aloud to all of the wedding guests.
She said, “It appears Alex is not who I thought he was. I love you all, and as horrible as this is, I am glad you are all here.
“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
The groom’s face turned pale as blood trickled down, disclosing his personal words to everyone. He stormed out of church, and his best man followed.
The end result was what Casey said: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one he** of a party.”
I’m sure they had a celebration that evening!
